1. Sir Sidney Kidman (1857-1935)

Sir Sidney Kidman was a prominent Australian pastoralist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist from Adelaide CBD. He was known as the "Cattle King" and played a significant role in the development of the Australian cattle industry. Kidman's business empire stretched across several million acres of pastoral land.

2. Dame Roma Mitchell (1913-2000)

Dame Roma Mitchell was the first female governor in Australia and a leading figure in Australia's legal history. Born in Adelaide CBD, she pursued a successful legal career and became the first woman to be appointed as a Queen's Counsel in Australia.

3. David Unaipon (1872-1967)

David Unaipon was an Aboriginal Australian writer, inventor, and public speaker. He was born in Adelaide CBD and became an influential figure in promoting Aboriginal rights and culture. Unaipon is featured on the Australian $50 banknote.

4. Sir Hans Heysen (1877-1968)

Karl Stefanovic is an Australian television presenter and journalist. He was born in Adelaide CBD and is best known as the co-host of the morning show "Today" on Channel Nine. Stefanovic has received numerous awards for his work in the media industry.

8. Catherine Helen Spence (1825-1910)

Catherine Helen Spence was an influential Australian social reformer and writer. She was born in Adelaide CBD and became known for advocating women's suffrage, education, and welfare reforms. Spence was the first woman in Australia to run as a political candidate.

9. Sir George Murray (1759-1826)

Sir George Murray was a British Army officer and colonial administrator. He served as the fifth Governor of South Australia and played a key role in the early development and governance of Adelaide CBD.

10. Cate Blanchett (born 1969)

Cate Blanchett is an internationally acclaimed actress and theatre director. Although born in Melbourne, she spent a part of her childhood in Adelaide CBD and attended Methodist Ladies' College. Blanchett has won numerous awards for her performances in film and stage productions.
